Here at Emlight Design, we can design and produce custom faceplates to create control stations that fit with your decor or needed functions. Using the finest anodized aluminum, we lovingly craft your faceplates to your exact specifications. We take your input, design a mock up, provide PDF proofs of the final engraving - no silk screening that will rub off here, and send the designs to production. The examples on this page were made to utilize Johnson Systems’ analog control stations. The silver faceplate was created (along with 8 others of various functions) to match the brushed nickel hardware that was being used in an extensive ballroom remodel. The exposed screws used were the highest quality mil-spec TORX head screws that provided a high tech industrial design look. For the panel we mounted 2 stations and integrated it into the existing dimmer system, reusing the in-wall wiring to save our customer a substantial amount of money. We gutted a failing contactor system controlling the fluorescent lights and installed programmable relay controllers (PRCs) in their place with modern din mounted relays that are easily maintained, all in the existing panels.
The 2nd black panel was created for the same customer to provide control of the pre-ballroom lobby areas. It was a normally recessed and locked location that previous vendors had stated would be expensive to retrofit. We took on the challenge and created a custom oversize panel and modified two Johnson Systems analog stations to only have 2 channels instead of the normal grouping of three channels so as to match the original broken down Electro Controls custom wall station. It fit perfectly. We networked in via diode isolators and were able to give our customer control of the spaces that had been not operational for years.
We also build custom one off assemblies for our customers like new CD80 PWM distribution headers for a rack whose connector had seen a better day. Along with that, we can integrate off the shelf equipment into a custom system that fully integrates into your existing control and dimmer systems. This experience allows Emlight to also be able to perform in house repairs so efficiently because we build custom test beds for our selves, from Environ 2 to CD80 dimmer module testers. If there is a way, we will find it.
